Internships & Research Opportunities

SJSU ISPE works hard to make sure that every student member gets the most out of our organization. Here we have put together a list of all the internship and research opportunities we have recieved from our fellow orgs at SJSU. We wish you the best of luck!

Internships:

  • INROADS Looking for Interns

    (Some local and non-local opportunities. Facebook is looking for Freshmen who know a programming language)

    To apply to INROADS a student must:

              1. Be enrolled at 4 year university or transferring in Fall 2016

             2. Have at least 1 summer prior to graduation

             3. 3.0 cumulative GPA

             4. Interested and eligible to work in the US for 8-10 weeks, 40 hours/week

             5. Career interest in business, computer science, engineering or other STEM.

      3. Sikorsky – Woodland, OR, Openings for Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial and Materials Engineers and Supply Chain

      4. United Technologies-Climate, Controls & Security- Software Engineering Intern and Video Solutions Intern -Costa Mesa, CA

      Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineer. Minimum 3.0 GPA. Must have at least 2 to 3 summers prior to graduation.

      5. United Technologies-Aerospace System- Chula Vista-Various Departments Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Business. Minimum 3.0 GPA and must have at least two summers before graduation.

      6. United Technologies-Aerospace System- Riverside-Various Departments Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Business. Minimum 3.0 GPA and must have at least two summers before graduation.

      7. MOODY’S-San Francisco, CA-Software Engineer, Computer Science, Computer Engineering. Juniors. Minimum 3.0 GPA

      8. Vulcan Materials-Sacramento, CA-Mechanical, Materials, Construction, Quality Control Engineering. Minimum 3.0 GPA

    • MayLynn Melendez – mmelendez@INROADS.org

      1. ALDI – various locations, Southern CA – District Manager internship All majors, Rotational internship with Store and District Managers. Intern lead project given. $900/week; 10 week internship

      2. Kaiser Permanente – Pasadena, CA, Bakersfield, CA and So CA– various departments (descriptions available starting in Feb)

      All majors, freshmen and sophomores, 3.0 GPA ( no juniors or seniors accepted), Pharmacy internships

  • Research Group Opportunity with Dr. Miller-Thurs, March 24th @ 3:30 PM: Dr. Miller is looking for research students for the upcoming  year. The event will be held in Duncan Hall, but please email chemistryclubsjsu@gmail.com if you have questions regarding what Dr. Miller is looking for. Students will need to have a letter of recommendation to be considered for the group.
